Complex Care Unit
A 30 bed Complex Care Unit provides accommodation and care for residents including permanent and overnight respite.
This separate unit comprises of private and shared rooms with ensuite and shared bathrooms. Residents requiring this living environment are referred to as ‘High Care’ and present to Springtime with a range of medical conditions which must be continually assessed and managed by qualified, competent and experienced Nurses.
When necessary the Clinical Services and Case Managers refer to specialist Agencies.
These Agencies and Allied Health professionals include, but are not limited to:
- Mercy Palliative Care (pain management)
- Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Dietary, Speech Pathology Services
- Wound Management Consultant
- Dental, Hearing, and Vision Services
- General Practitioners
The Clinical and Nursing Team at Springtime focus on the Residents well-being, comfort and quality of life at a time when assistance is required for activities of daily living, social and relationship contacts.
Integral to continuing resident health and well-being is the provision of a Food Service which caters for individual, cultural needs and preferences.
The Springtime Chef provides a-la-carte and culturally specific meal choices for individuals and groups as discussed with families and friends.
